Chapter 6: The Giant's Drink.
1. Describe the battleroom. What importance do gravity, lasers, and spacesuits have there?
All of these things are important because their is null gravity and the space suits help them with the null gravity and the lasers are neded for the games.
2. How do Ender and Alai become friends? What is surprising about Ender’s friendship with Alai?
Ender and Alai became friend after conjuring a smart tactic to defeat the other team by freezing their space suits, making them unable to move. The only thing that makes it surprising is the fact that Alai was Bernard's bestfriend.
3. Describe the computer game. Why can’t Ender beat the giant at first? How does he eventually win? What lesson does this teach Ender?
The reason Ender couldn't beat the giant at first was because he had to guess which cup wasn't poison, and since he usually knows what's going on, this angered him greatly. Instead of playing by the rules, he kills the giant and assures his never to return again. Although he achieved his goal, he wasn't happy. He thought the only way he could win at things was to harm another, and this made him think of Peter.

1. How did Ender defeat the computer’s security system? What does this indicate about Ender?
The computer has an unbeatable challenge called "The Giant's Drink," where the player encounters a giant who makes the player choose one of two drinks that isn't poisend. Allegedly only one has poison, but no matter which you choose, you die. Ender doesn't choose-- he attacks and kills the giant. He is willing to do whatever it takes to win. He finds nontraditional solutions to problems. He does not play by the rules.
2. Why is Ender promoted? What is surprising about his promotion?
Ender is promoted because of his extremely advanced tactice in the battleroom, the I.F. have seen his improvments and are impressed. The thing that's surprising about this promotion is that Ender was called to report to his commander just as soon as he enters the room, with the sign, "The End of the World".
3. Why is Petra Arkanian exactly the wrong kind of friend to have? What valuable skill does she eventually teach Ender?
The only reason Petra is the "wrong" kind of friend to have, is because she reminded Ender of Valentine, and when he was around his older sister he would use her as protection. She teaches Ender all the skills necessary in the battleroom during free play, and tells him that the adults are the enemy's here.
4. What lessons does Ender learn from Bonzo Madrid about being a commander? What instructions does Bonzo give Ender concerning battles?
What Ender had picked up from his time in the Salamander army is that to be a good commander, one must learn the rules, give everyone a fair chance to show what they are capable of, and that to be condecending towards your team is the only way in which they will respect you.
5. Why are adults the real enemies?
Adults are the real enemies because they are the ones responsible for the "children's" bad behaviour and un disciplined manner. They are turning them against eachother in hope that one of them will save the world, once the buggers arive.
6. Why does Ender become suddenly homesick?
Ender suddenly gets homesick by remembering his home and Valentine which makes the situation hard for Ender.

2. What surprising information does Dink Meeker relay to Ender?
Dink tells Ender that Bonzo plans to hurt him in some type of way.
3. Why is Ender’s feet-first attack position so effective in battle?
Ender's feet-first attack position is so effective in battle because the feet and legs can be hit over and over again and not stop the progression nor the ability of the person to shoot through this "shield" he has.
4. Describe where Ender is in the computer game. What does he see in the mirror after he defeats the snake? How does he react?
Ender had arrived at the tower room and found a mirror. When he looked in the mirror Peter looked back to him.
